Fix-it Friend is a small boutique handyman business specializing in residential and commercial projects in the downtown Toronto area. We’re known for our friendly, knowledgeable, professional service, with exceptional ratings on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and Homestars. 

As our business continues to grow, we are looking to add a team member to collaborate on current projects and eventually be able to handle projects independently.

What you bring to the Fix-it Friend team:

  • A strong foundation in basic handy skills - you know how to use tools and have experience fixing/building things

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - this is a client facing job

  • You have a passion and commitment to the skilled trades 

  • A positive approach to people, work, and learning

  • A clean-cut, professional appearance

  • Pride and integrity in your work 

  • Dependable, reliable, punctual

  • A willingness to get your hands dirty and a ‘no job is too small’ attitude 

  • An ability to work independently

  • Take instructions, ask clarifying questions 

  • Having your own transportation (car/truck) is a serious plus.

  • Having your own basic toolkit is preferred (drill/driver, hand tools)

  • Welding and metal fabrication

  • Trim carpentry and other custom woodworking 

  • Airless paint spraying

  • Custom design commissions
