Project Scope/Client Needs

This client came to us with an idea to make a wall, coffee table, and side tables out of LEGO in the common room at a new residence they were building at College and Spadina. The idea was to create a secondary structure mounted to an existing wall for students to play and interact with.

Solution/Implementation

We designed and installed a system that created additional visual interest by incorporating a 3 dimensional aspect where the LEGO jumps off the wall. We framed a partial wall and covered it in plywood, a great surface to adhere the LEGO tiles to. Likewise, we made the coffee table and side tables in a similar manner. We took great care to space the tiles using LEGO bricks so the wall functioned as one giant lego base.
